INTRODUCTION OF DRY FISHES IN INDIA

                      Founded By Laxmi Dharmaji Mhatre Later legecy continued by the son & her dughter in law Ramesh Mhatre & Shakuntala Mhatre. Now they have large variety of dry fishes for all the seasons. Under this head I am going to introduce you nearly all types of the dry fishes. There are weird stuffs in India but amongst them are quiet interesting is DRY FISHES of west India. There are thousands of species in world fishes are few amongst them. Slowly steadily it gaining its popularity in young generation. It has created landmark in past 400 years. It is preserving technique which is used by our ancestors. Reason behind drying the fish in those days is storing ensuring enough food for monsoon season. People used to store dry fishes for monsoon season It also create opportunity to consume it later. Our ancestor has thought in their mind that every day is not same, when they went on fishing. So they developed this technique to preserve fishes for long term. This tradition is continued by the later generations. Gradually it took form of trade. In very beginning it has form of barter exchange. People used to exchange their goods for another. Slowly it started getting money involved in business. It has great demand in west Maharashtra. Slowly people from north are started demanding these things. It’s the only segment of which is available 365day & 12months in Fish market. Reason behind putting this info on internet is people should know about it. Especially young generation which is following the american culture & start forgetting our own culture, religions.
